Los dispositivos DAQ de expansión se comunican con los dispositivos base a través de RS-485 (Modbus RTU) a través de prácticos conectores de paso RJ45 y cableado CAT5e. Los dispositivos se pueden ubicar juntos en una pila o distribuirse a través de sus instalaciones a una distancia de hasta 4000 pies.
